Moyo who is ready to handover the crown to the next queen relates her journey and experiences during her reign.

“It is always an honour having to hand over a good title when you have successfully run the race and it is necessary to pass on to the next person.

“For those that will come after me, they have the ability to learn and correct from my mistakes and become better real ‘black opal’ women,” she said.

The beauty queen encouraged other women to be proud of themselves to succeed in life.

“My encouragement to every woman out there is ‘you do not have a valid excuse not to be successful because you can be whoever you want to become in life’. I started off with nothing but through determination and perseverance look where I am today,” she said.

Moyo said she will continue to mentor upcoming models entering the industry.

Event spokesperson Tanaka Ngorora said preparations are now at an advanced stage.

“We are ready for the final day. Last week we had a voting party with the contestants in the capital where they were mingling with their fans.

“The 16 contestants will have a dinner with the judges and go through a grooming process a few days before the final,” said Ngorora.

Ngorora also said the voting system is transparent and the votes are being shown on their Facebook page.

“Our voting system is very clear.

“It is managed by two independent technology partners who are available for auditing and it is governed by the Gaming Commission of Zimbabwe.”
