ZAOGA to build US$100 million university in Harare

gutiapostlesChief Pastor and founder of Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Ezekiel Guti has been awarded a licence to build a US$100 million university in the capital.

The money has already been raised by church members in all the branches throughout the country.

"We have received an application from Pastor Guti to build a university in Zimbabwe," an official from the Higher Education Council of Zimbabwe said in an interview.

"This means that we will, therefore, have about 15 universities in Zimbabwe. As you know some of them are however private entities run by churches, activist groups, while some are managed by financial institutions."

The official said the university would be known as the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) and would be built in Harare.

"The university has already been given an operating licence and it only remains to be constructed and open its doors to prospective students."
